Grade 5/6S’s Class Blog for 2008

Next week we will be participating in Literacy and Numeracy Week- yah!! We will be celebrating by taking part in activities such as:

• Read in the Park- students from our school will walk to a local park and enjoy half an hour’s reading with students from another school in our area.
• National Games Afternoon- students from Prep to Grade 6 will play a variety of maths games on the oval.
• Open classroooms- classes open up their doors to family members and friends for special interactive sessions.

Students from our class have worked in cooperative learning groups to create fun and educational maths trails. These trails will be trialled by other grades. They have also designed attractive treasure maps that include directions that students can follow to find the treasure!

We look forward to celebrating this week with lots of enjoyable activities.
